Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball wasn't its sharpest against Rutgers, but a stifling defensive effort and Lucy Olsen unlocked a winning route.

Lucy Olsen was a point short of scoring half of Iowa’s points and the Hawkeyes survived a single-digit fourth quarter by holding Rutgers to even fewer points as they beat the Scarlet Knights 55-43 at home Thursday night.

With Iowa women's basketball (17-7, 7-6 Big Ten) currently on a five-game winning streak, there has been no secret that senior guard Lucy Olsen has been the main driving force for the Hawkeyes as they regain their footing amongst the elite powers of the Big Ten conference.
