The building society has warned customers and account holders that the service to pay in cheques isn't currently included in its app, much to Twitter (or X) users' fury.

Each cheque should be no more than £1,000. If you're a Bank of Scotland, Halifax, or Lloyds Bank customer, you can pay in one or more cheques up to £10,000 per day using the bank's mobile app.
