Scottish actor Rory McCann, best known for playing the burly brute The Hound on HBO’s Game of Thrones, will replace late actor Ray Stevenson for a second season of Star Wars show Ahsoka, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

He is a familiar face to fans of the TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s work, as McCann played Sandor Clegane ‘The Hound’ in all eight seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’. He will step into the shoes of a Force user who must explore the mysteries and mythology of Peridea,

McCann is best known to viewers around the world for his intimidating turn as The Hound in Game of Thrones, but has other notable credits in Hot Fuzz, Jumanji: The Next Level and Gladiator II as well as recent Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off Knuckles.
