Los Angeles Dodgers star first baseman Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea have joined the wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles, as the couple donated $300,000—$100,000 each to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the Pasadena Fire Department and the Salvation Army, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

Dodgers teammate Chris Taylor also pledged to match fans' donations to his foundation in response to the wildfires that destroyed 9,000 structures this week.

Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea are donating $300,000, split evenly between the LA Fire Department Foundation, the Pasadena Fire Department, and the Salvation Army, per Jeff Passan at ESPN.

As devastating wildfires have raged through Los Angeles this past week, several Dodgers have contributed to relief efforts as the city continues to fight to contain the blazes. According to ESPN's Jeff Passan,

Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelsea, have donated $300,000 to support California wildfire relief efforts. They gave $100,000 each to the Pasadena Fire Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, and the Salvation Army.

After a week of fires across Los Angeles county, including devastating losses in and round Altadena, Pacific Palisades, and elsewhere, a few Dodgers players as well as the team have coordinated to raise money for relief efforts.
