Classes canceled Thursday at Apalachee High after 14-year-old student arrested for bringing gun to school
Following the incident, Barrow County Schools announced that school was canceled at Apalachee High School on Thursday, Jan. 9. 11Alive obtained a copy of an email sent to parents that said students and staff should not report and that Open House is postponed. All on-campus extracurricular activities are also canceled.
Apalachee High School’s campus is closed Monday, Jan. 13, and students are scheduled to have a digital learning day.
