West Ham United fans expect new manager Graham Potter to bring some style back to their team's football after a dispiriting and brief Julen Lopetegui reign but the new coach was happy to win ugly against Fulham on Tuesday.

West Ham have relieved Julen Lopetegui of his duties as head coach after just seven months at the helm. Lopetegui, 58, took over the reins from David Moyes last May, putting pen to paper on a two-year contract at the London Stadium.

West Ham have been a bit of a mess this season and Graham Potter has a fair bit of work to do. Some of the results have been OK but others have been catastrophic. They have the players to do so, but there has been no confidence or belief,

There was a time when Lucas Paqueta would only fleetingly show the offensive traits that made him a valuable asset to West Ham United. But two games into the Graham Potter era and those redeeming features are now the norm rather than an exception.
