Pat Perez has been handed a new role for the upcoming LIV Golf season, after the 44-year-old was dropped by Dustin Johnson and the 4Aces earlier in the off-season

Pat Perez's run with the 4Aces is coming to an end, but a new gig within LIV Golf is just beginning. The league announced on Monday that the longtime tour pro is trading in his clubs for a microphone.

Pat Perez is joining the LIV Golf broadcast team as an on-course analyst this season. Perez, 48, previously competed in the league as a member of captain Dustin Johnson 's 4Aces GC. Perez finished 48th in the LIV individual standings in 2024 and was replaced by Thomas Pieters for the upcoming season. Perez's contract with 4Aces expired on Jan. 1.

While maybe not the complete answer, Pat Perez, a former 4Aces, may be part of the solution. After three seasons playing in the LIV Golf League, the 48-year-old Perez lost his playing privileges but will still be part of LIV as a part of the broadcast team during the 2025 season.

Pat Perez joined LIV Golf right after it launched in 2022 but has not found much success on the Saudi-backed circuit. He finished the 2024 season ranked 48th in the individual standings, barely out of the relegation zone, but now he will not have to worry about maintaining his position for 2025.

Pat Perez is comfortable in front of a camera and holding a microphone, and now it's going to be his full-time gig for LIV Golf.
