A Lynn teen made headlines this week when she was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the city’s courthouse after she was released on a misdemeanor charge, which has since been dropped.

National figures reported by ICE over the past week show the agency has arrested far more immigrants per day on average than did the Biden administration. On Wednesday, for example, the agency reported a total of 1,016 arrests. That is more than three times higher than last year’s daily average.
