Sweden’s prime minister said the attack at the Risbergska School was the worst mass shooting in country’s history

Police have confirmed that 11 people have now died following a mass shooting at an adult education school in Sweden and the number of injured is currently unclear.

Survivors of Sweden's worst mass shooting on Wednesday recalled trying to save the lives of their comrades at a school for adults in Örebro, a day after a gunman killed 11 people on what the prime minister called a "dark day" in the country's history.

Five people have been shot at an adult education centre in Sweden, police have said, with four in the hospital. Authorities say that the danger wasn't over and urged the public to stay away from the school. The extent of the victims' injuries wasn't immediately clear. The adult education center is about 125 miles west of Stockholm.

The king and queen visited the scene of the tragic event that occurred on Tuesday and Swedish flags were flown at half-mast to honor the victims.
