Edmonton Oilers defenceman Ty Emberson has quietly been one of the team's steadiest defensive players this season.

Brett Kulak skating with Ty Emberson is another familiar duo for Oilers fans. These two have been a rock-solid third-pairing for the team. But, as previously stated, Nurse and Stecher are often broken up during a game. When that happens, Kulak slides up to Nurse's pairing while Stecher plays with Emberson.

The Edmonton Oilers have Connor McDavid back after a three-game suspension and, with that, came some pretty major line changes.

There's plenty of evidence that proves the Oilers coaches have pulled the right strings to get the most from the defence.

EDMONTON -- Connor McDavid scored in his return from a three-game suspension, and the Edmonton Oilers won 4-2 against the Seattle Kraken at Rogers Place on Monday.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored two goals to help the Edmonton Oilers beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-2. Edmonton improved to 21-6-1 in its last 28 games.

In a wild track meet of a game, with Colorado scoring the first three goals, then Edmonton the next four, the Oilers won 4-3 in Denver on Thursday night.
