Ridley Scott's Bee Gees biopic at Paramount will wait to begin production until this fall after he completes work on 'The Dog Stars.'

Director Ridley Scott has claimed that production on his Bee Gees biopic has been delayed due to a disagreement with the studio. The Gladiator director's upcoming project, You Should Be Dancing, had been written and cast ahead of a planned shoot early this year but he has now set the biopic aside due to a disagreement with Paramount Pictures executives over his deal.

Ridley Scott is teasing the Bee Gees biopic he is set to direct at Paramount, which has been delayed. The Gladiator II director was set to start filming already, but after the studio “changed the goalposts,” the filmmaker opted to work on another film instead.

Ridley Scott has decided it's time to "move on," at least for the time being, from his Bee Gees biopic. It was announced that Scott, who recently made Gladiator II with Paul Mescal, was going to direct a Bee Gees biopic titled You Should Be Dancing.
