Police when the K-9 unit alerted to the suspect hiding in the dumpster he shot the dog before being shot by officers and being pronounced dead at the scene

The sheriff's office said on Tuesday, Jan. 28, around 4:17 p.m., deputies responded to a home in the 14200 block of FM 2769 after a caller said he needed assistance at his parents' home.

When deputies arrived at the home, they heard a woman screaming inside the home. TCOS said the deputies entered the home and saw an elderly couple. The man was holding a woman at
