James has received inconsistent playing time for the Lakers' NBA club, so he should continue to have an increased role while in the G League. His efficient shooting from behind the arc helped him lead South Bay in scoring during Friday's victory.

The Lakers continue to regularly list Davis on their injury report, but the superstar big man is expected to play through right calf soreness Saturday. Over his last seven games, Davis has averaged 24.

It's unclear whether the team was dealing with the aftereffects of the Clippers game, or simply regressing back to bad habits that have plagued it over the past month, but the Celtics did not put up much of a fight against the Lakers.
