Global Fighting League founder hints that fans could see a future showdown between Tony Ferguson and Dillon Danis.

Tony Ferguson is the type of guy who'd give his fans what they want - and it seems Global Fight League (GFL) is listening.

Former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson is officially departing the company, and signing with the newly created GFL.

Danis, who has not competed in an MMA bout since 2019, was drafted by Team New York in the GFL draft alongside names like former UFC champions Holly Holm and Chris Weidman. Also joining the team were ‘Motown Phenom’ Kevin Lee, Ovince Saint Preaux, and Sidney Outlaw.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans was one in particular who spoke out after the draft, claiming he isn't part of GFL and is planning to rematch Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in boxing. Despite the confusion, Owen believes Evans could still enter the GFL when it launches in April.
