Hurricane-force winds and fire should not mix. "The worst is yet to come in next few hours with 80-105 mph gusts. This is a hurricane of fire,"Maue said of the California winds. Winds in the Los Angeles area were gusting up to 105 mph. That's a strong Category 2 hurricane.

Multiple state agencies are expected to deploy more than 135 firefighters, emergency management and medical personnel, and more than 45 fire engines, ambulances, command vehicles and equipment to California as crews battle ongoing wildfires.

More than 100 Texas firefighters and equipment will head to California to help battle deadly wildfires in the state.
