Alien: Romulus Fede Álvarez says the CGI resurrection of a dead actor in the movie has been fixed for the home video release.

Alien: Romulus is a hit with most fans of the Alien franchise as a whole new generation of horror movie lovers. However, there was one scene in Romulus that had longtime fans feeling some kind of way: the scenes of the film where the likeness of late actor Ian Holm was used to create the

Alien: Romulus” director Fede Álvarez said in an interview with Empire magazine that he understands why some viewers reacted negatively to the appearance of late actor Ian Holm in the film. Holm played the android Ash in Ridley Scott’s original “Alien” film and died in 2020 at 88 years old.

"We just ran out of time in post-production to get it right," Fede Álvarez said of the theatrical cut. "We made it better for the release right now."
