The City Health Department has declared a code Blue Cold Alert through Thursday morning due to freezing temperatures expected this week.

Code Blue is called when nighttime temperatures fall to 15 degrees or below and triggers citywide efforts to get homeless residents into overnight shelters. A low temperature of 15 degrees was forecast Monday and Tuesday night, and was snow possible Monday night, according to the National Weather Service.
