The former Alameda County prosecutor — and current judge — is expected to serve through 2026, when the seat again goes up for election.

The Alameda County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday appointed Superior Court Judge Ursula Jones Dickson to fill the district attorney's seat.

A former deputy district attorney, Jones Dickson fills the vacancy created when Alameda County voters recalled Pamela Price in November.
